Ports & Connectors

As for connectors, some use a PCI-e format others use PCIe. Again, both work just fine and are generally interchangeable. However, if you need a certain connection then look out! For example, the ATX motherboard uses four 6 pin power connections (yellow) which is not compatible with the older PS3/PS4 console’s 4 pin power connector.
Be sure to check compatibility before purchasing. If you’re playing any games that require a high-definition display output, try using HDMI 2.0 rather than 1.4 as they offer more bandwidth and increased color depth.
